Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and purchase of laboratory-grown diamonds, bespoke gemstones, and fine jewelry from Lucent Carat Lab ("Lucent Carat Lab", "we", "us", or "our"). By placing an order, browsing our inventory, or submitting a custom commission request, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

11. Business Identity & Operating Entity
This website and all related services are operated by Lucent Carat Lab LLC, headquartered at Diamond District, 5 N Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60602. We are a primary manufacturer and distributor of certified laboratory-grown diamonds (CVD and HPHT Type IIa), offering loose stones and bespoke atelier pieces directly to private clients and licensed trade jewelers worldwide.
22. Single-Stone Inventory & Order Acceptance
Every diamond cataloged in our live inventory is an individual, distinct gemstone with its own unique physical proportions, carat weight, and certification number. Placing a diamond in your cart does not reserve or lock the stone against other simultaneous buyers. An order is formally confirmed only upon receipt of cleared payment and our issuance of an official Order Confirmation with allocation details.
33. Pricing, Currencies & Payment Methods
All prices are displayed in USD (or your selected localized currency at checkout) and represent genuine manufacturer-direct value. We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, and direct wire transfers. Payment must clear in full prior to dispatch. If a typographical or technological pricing error occurs, we reserve the right to correct the error and notify you promptly for confirmation or cancellation with a 100% immediate refund.
44. Independent Lab Certification & Laser Inscription
Every loose diamond over 0.30 carats is accompanied by its authentic grading report from independent gemological authorities-primarily the International Gemological Institute (IGI) or the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). All certified stones feature micro-laser inscriptions on the girdle corresponding exactly to the certificate number for foolproof authenticity verification.
55. High-Resolution Visuals & Proportions
Our loose diamonds are photographed and videoed under 360-degree high-definition studio magnification. Colors and optical fire may vary slightly depending on monitor calibration and lighting conditions. The official laboratory grading report, millimeter dimensions (length × width × depth), table percentage, and depth percentage provide the definitive technical record of the gemstone.
66. Fully Insured Worldwide Shipping & Transit Risk
All shipments are 100% insured by Lucent Carat Lab from our dispatch vault until delivered. Shipments are transported via FedEx Priority, UPS Express Saver, or specialized armored couriers (such as Brink's/Malca-Amit for high-value shipments). All deliveries strictly require an in-person adult signature upon delivery. Transit risk passes to the client once the parcel is signed for.
77. 14-Day Return & Inspection Period
We provide a 14-day inspection period starting on the day of delivery for all standard certified loose diamonds. To qualify for a full refund, the stone must remain unset, unaltered, accompanied by all original certification documentation and security seals. Complimentary insured return shipping labels are provided upon authorization.
88. Bespoke & Custom Atelier Commissions
Custom diamond cuts (specialty rough selection, custom facet plans, or personalized mountings) begin production only upon written approval of design specifications and receipt of an agreed deposit. Because custom diamonds are grown and cut exclusively to client specifications, bespoke deposits and custom cutting fees are non-refundable once rough growth or laser slicing has commenced.
99. Lifetime Authenticity & Optical Fire Warranty
Lucent Carat Lab guarantees that all diamonds sold are 100% genuine Type IIa laboratory-grown diamonds with identical chemical, optical, and physical properties to mined diamonds. Our diamonds will never fade, cloud, or discolor over time. We guarantee lifetime optical integrity under normal wear.
1010. Intellectual Property & Anti-Scraping
All content on this site-including diamond 360 photography, video footage, facet diagrams, branding, software code, and editorial guides-is the proprietary intellectual property of Lucent Carat Lab LLC. Automated data extraction, wholesale scraping, commercial re-use, or unauthorized downloading of media is strictly prohibited.
1111. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from a transaction shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the specific gemstone or item. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America.
