The 4Cs (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat) define diamond value. However, savvy buyers do not need to buy the highest grade across all four categories to get a stunning stone.
1. Cut: Never Compromise Here Cut is the only C determined by human lapidary craft. An Ideal cut diamond reflects 99% of entering light back through the crown. Even a D Colour / FL Clarity stone will appear dull and lifeless if poorly cut.#
2. Colour: The Sweet Spot (D-G) Diamonds are graded from D (colourless) to Z (light tint). In modern platinum and white gold settings, grades D, E, F, and G appear brilliantly white to the naked eye.#
3. Clarity: Eye-Clean Brilliance (VVS1 - VS2) Inclusions are natural microscopic crystals trapped inside. In VVS and VS grades, these characteristics are 100% invisible without a 10x gemological microscope.#
4. Carat: Weight vs Visible Spread Carat is a measure of weight (1.00ct = 0.20 grams), not surface diameter. Choosing an Ideal cut ensures weight is distributed across the top crown rather than hidden in a heavy pavilion.#
